Pierre Fabre and Setubio sign a parnership agreement within the framework of the Nature Open Library program

Specialist of microbial biotechnologies, settled on the Naturopôle in Saint Bonnet de Rochefort, Setubio aims at valuing the biodiversity through the screening of bioactive properties of plants, algae, micro-algae, bacteria and fungi.

Pierre Fabre Laboratories and Setubio, announced the signature of a partnership agreement within the framework of Nature Open Library, a program of open innovation launched by Pierre Fabre in order to share its private collection of plants and its expertise of the phyto-industrial value chain.

With 15 000 plants listed in their sample bank, Pierre Fabre laboratories have the most important collection of plants belonging to a private pharmaceutical company, a consequent therapeutic potential which both companies intend to value. To do it, they will lean on the high throughput screening platform developed by Setubio to identify new pharmaceutical assets in human or animal health.
